Counselling Results

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will declare the results of the second round of seat allotment today, July 3 on the official website, the link for which is josaa.nic.in

Meanwhile, the result of the first round of counselling was released on June 27.

As per reports, the counselling process is being held for about 36,000 seats in 23 Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), 31 National Institute of Technology (NITs), 23 Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs) and 20 government funded technical institutions (GFTIs).

JoSAA Second Round Seat Allotment Results 2018: How to check

  1. Go to the official website, josaa.nic.in
  2. Enter all the required information in the space provided
  3. On submitting the same, the allotment results will be displayed on the screen
  4. Download and take print out of the same for future use

About JoSAA:

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has been set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 97 institutes for the academic year 2017-18.

This includes 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 20 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs).

  • Document verification and acceptance/withdrawal of seat by reporting at reporting centers (Round 2): July 4 to July 5
  • Display of seats filled/availability status: July 6
  • Seat allocation (Round 3): July 6
  • Document verification and acceptance/withdrawal of seat by reporting at reporting centers (Round 3): July 7 to July 8
  • Display of seats filled/ availability status: July 9
  • Seat allocation (Round 4): July 9
  • Document verification and acceptance of seat by reporting at reporting centers (Round 4): July 10 to July 11
  • Display of seats filled/availability status: July 12
  • Seat allocation (Round 5): July 12
  • Document verification and acceptance/withdrawal of seat by reporting at reporting centers (Round 5): July 13 to July 14
  • Display of seats filled/availability status: July 15
  • Seat allocation (Round 6): July 15
  • Document verification and acceptance/ withdrawal of seat by reporting at reporting centers (Round 6): July 16 to July 17
  • Last round for seat withdrawal: July 16 to July 17
  • Display of seats filled/availability status: July 18

Meanwhile, IIT Kanpur announced the JEE Advanced results in 2018 on June 10, 2018, on the official website, the link for which is jeeadv.nic.in. For the first time, JEE Advanced was held completely in the online mode. This year, Pranav Goyal from Roorkee zone secured All India Rank 1 and is hence the JEE Advanced topper 2018.
